Introduction
Every believer has a ministry. Discover how God calls, equips, and empowers His people to serve through His grace. But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” — Acts 20:24 Every believer who has trusted Jesus Christ as Savior has also been called into ministry. While our assignments may differ, our purpose remains the same: to glorify God, bear fruit for His Kingdom, and faithfully serve where He has placed us. Paul’s words to the Ephesian elders remind us that a life devoted to God’s purpose is a life well lived.
Many Christians spend years searching for significance. Yet Scripture teaches that significance is found in obedience. God has given each of us gifts, opportunities, relationships, and responsibilities through which we can serve Him. The question is not whether you have a ministry. The question is whether you recognize and embrace the ministry God has already entrusted to you.

Inspirational Quote
“The remarkable thing about fearing God is that when you fear God you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God, you fear everything else.” — Oswald Chambers
Reflection
As Paul prepared to leave Ephesus, he shared one of the most powerful testimonies found in Scripture. Looking back over years of ministry, he did not speak about accomplishments, possessions, or personal achievements. Instead, he focused on faithfully completing the ministry Jesus had entrusted to him.
His words provide four important lessons for believers today.
First, our lives find their greatest significance when we fulfill God’s ordained purpose. Paul was not suggesting that human life lacks worth apart from achievement. Rather, he understood that true fulfillment comes from living according to God’s design. We were created by God, redeemed by Christ, and called to serve His Kingdom. Therefore, our lives reach their fullest meaning when we walk in obedience to His will.
Second, we must finish strong. Many people begin well. However, faithful disciples persevere through difficulties, disappointments, and distractions. Paul endured imprisonment, persecution, shipwrecks, rejection, and hardship. Nevertheless, he remained committed to the calling God had given him. His example reminds us that faithfulness is measured not merely by how we start, but also by how we finish.
Third, we are called to testify to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every believer has a testimony. Some preach from pulpits. Others share Christ around dinner tables, in workplaces, classrooms, neighborhoods, and everyday conversations. Regardless of the setting, our mission remains the same: to point people toward the saving grace found in Jesus Christ.
Fourth, we must teach and live under the grace of God. Paul continually emphasized that salvation is God’s gift. We cannot earn it through good works, religious activity, or personal effort. Instead, salvation comes through faith in Christ alone. Consequently, every ministry should direct attention toward God’s grace rather than human accomplishment.
Jesus Chose You
Jesus reinforced this truth when He told His disciples, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit.” Those words should encourage every believer. God has intentionally chosen and appointed His people for Kingdom service.
Your ministry may not be visible to large crowds. Perhaps your ministry is encouraging a discouraged friend. Maybe it involves praying faithfully for your family. Some believers teach. Others mentor. Many serve quietly behind the scenes. Yet every act of service performed for Christ carries eternal significance.
The greeting attached to today’s devotion contains a wonderful reminder: “Good morning as you carry out your ministry (you have a ministry!).” What a powerful truth! Every Christian has a ministry because every Christian has been called to bear fruit for the glory of God.
Johnny’s observation from Proverbs also speaks to this reality: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” If we think ministry belongs only to pastors and missionaries, we may never step into our calling. However, when we see ourselves as servants chosen by Christ, we begin to recognize opportunities for ministry all around us.
God has placed people in your path whom only you can reach. Furthermore, He has entrusted gifts and experiences to you that can bless others. Ask Him today to reveal fresh opportunities to serve. Then move forward in faith, trusting Him to work through you for His glory.
