Bill & Gloria Gaither – The Family of God

Introduction

Believer’s Rights in Christ give us identity as children of God.   They remind us we are heirs, new creations, and ambassadors.  Through them we are  reminded of the incredible privileges God gives when we trust in Jesus. These spiritual blessings include becoming God’s children, living as new creations, and serving as His ambassadors. The Bible explains our identity in Christ with clarity, and this truth strengthens faith while inspiring holy confidence.

Main Body

John writes, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). This right is not earned by works. Instead, it is granted by grace through faith. As God’s children, we belong to His family forever. Paul explains, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Believers no longer remain bound by their past. Transformation becomes our reality, because Christ renews our hearts and lives. This change is not temporary; it is permanent and complete.

Furthermore, Paul declares, “So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God” (Galatians 4:7). That means believers inherit the promises of God’s kingdom. We do not live as spiritual orphans; rather, we walk as sons and daughters of the King. Such assurance brings confidence and hope in daily life. Lastly, Paul reminds us, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). Ambassadors represent a kingdom. Believers represent heaven. Our words, actions, and attitudes reflect the One we serve. With this role, we share the Gospel and reveal God’s love to the world. These believer’s rights give us a true sense of identity: Children of God, New Creations, Heirs of the Kingdom, and Ambassadors for Christ. When we look in the mirror, we can see royalty—not because of ourselves, but because of Christ within us. Let that truth guide your day with boldness and joy.
