Walk by Faith

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, we believe You reward those who seek You. Help us walk by faith, not by sight. Guide us through the long game of life, anchored in trust and humility. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Introduction

God’s big game is not about short-term gain but long-term eternal victory. In order to win it, we must walk in faith and trust God to lead us to the reward He promises. This is the long game with Jesus, a journey built on daily belief and divine promise.

Walking by Faith in God’s Big Game

God’s big game is about walking by faith. When we believe and confess, God rewards us. Trust Him in the long game with Jesus.  “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) In the grand scheme of God’s redemptive plan, faith is our playbook. Living the Christian life is not a short sprint but a marathon of endurance and belief. We actively engage with Christ daily, earnestly seeking Him, trusting that each step brings us closer to the ultimate prize—eternal life with Him. God honors our humble confession of sin. As Scripture promises, “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:8-9)

Faith is not wishful thinking. It’s anchored in God’s truth. Abraham believed God, and it “was counted to him as righteousness.” (Romans 4:3) This same faith is what God honors in us today. When we walk by faith—even when we cannot see—we are walking in victory, trusting God’s game plan. Each day becomes part of the long game, one where we may not see immediate results, but we trust God’s eternal scoreboard. Faith fuels obedience. Obedience brings peace. Peace secures our hope in His promises. So this morning, play the long game. Just believe. Even when the world seems unstable, your confidence in God’s reward remains unshaken. As Proverbs 23:7 reminds us, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Let your thoughts dwell on truth, and your faith will follow suit.
