Let Us Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for saving us not because of our worth, but because of Your mercy and love. Help us to live in the freedom of Your grace. Amen.

Introduction
You are worthy because Christ saved you. You are worthy not by works but by His grace. Embrace this truth of salvation today. You are worthy because of Christ, not because of anything you have done. This truth is the foundation of grace and the heart of our salvation. It reminds us that our worth is defined by His love, not by our works. This devotion will encourage you to embrace the priceless gift of being made worthy through Him.
Life Application
My brother-in-law, Dr. Joe Logan, once shared words that have stayed with me: “Christ did not save us because we are worthy. We are worthy because Christ saved us.” Those words carry the essence of the gospel. We are not accepted by God because of anything we have accomplished. Instead, our worth comes from Christ’s saving work on the cross.
Other Witnesses
Others have echoed this truth. Charles Haddon Spurgeon put it this way: “Jesus didn’t die for our righteousness but died for our sins. He didn’t come to save us because we were worth saving, but because we were utterly worthless, ruined, and undone.” John Piper similarly reminds us that Christ died for us in our unworthiness so that we might be made worthy in Him.
The Bible itself is rich with this truth. Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Ephesians 2:8-9 reinforces that salvation is not earned: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Titus 3:5 echoes the same: “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.”
These passages remind us that grace removes any ground for pride. Our salvation is a gift. Our worth is bestowed, not earned. As spiritual beings living this human experience, we are called to exercise our faith daily—our spiritual “muscles”—by remembering who gives us true value.
Saved By Grace
You are worthy, not because of your strength, but because of His sacrifice. You are loved, not because of your perfection, but because of His grace. When you embrace this truth, it frees you from striving for approval and allows you to rest in His finished work. Let that truth shape your heart, your decisions, and your daily walk with Christ.
