Confess and Believe – Salvation Through Faith and Declaration

Open Bible and hands lifted in prayer symbolizing confession and belief
Confess and Believe

Introduction:

Understand the importance of Confess and Believ as Paul emphasizes open confession and genuine belief in Jesus. Romans 10:9–10: “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

Paul is appealing to the Church at Rome that salvation comes from public confession of Christ as Lord and Savior accompanied with the belief in your heart.

Many people in today’s world “believe” but lack the courage to profess Christ before man and then follow the example of Jesus and enter into believer’s baptism!

Jesus makes a very strong point on the confession before people:

“So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 10:32–33

Good Morning as you follow the guidance of Paul and Jesus.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” — Proverbs 23:7

Life Application

Faith that is hidden is incomplete. True belief in Christ produces an open confession and an obedient heart. This public confession not only strengthens your faith but also testifies to others that Jesus is alive and working in you. Today, reaffirm your faith by speaking boldly about Jesus and living as His witness. Remember—your words and your heart are united in salvation.
