“casting all your anxieties on him, because HE CARES FOR YOU.”
1 Pet 5:7
Anxiety obviously has been a ” thorn in the side” of people for the past 2,000 years.
Over 60 million people in America suffer from severe anxiety attacks.
Anxiety may be caused by multiple external influences.
Peter offered us a remedy or cure by “casting our anxieties upon Jesus”-
because JESUS CARES!
Who would know better about Jesus than Peter who denied Jesus three times and fell down and wept.
Jesus removed his anxieties caused by guilt, restored him, and raised Peter to be the leader of early Church. Our Roman Catholic brothers consider Peter to be the first Pope.

Because He Lives I Can Face Tomorrow – Worship Song With Lyrics – Linng Mission
My Brother-In Law, Dr. Joe Logan is a saintly man. He is wisdom personified. A year or so ago he said the following and I jotted it down:
“Christ did not save us because we are worthy. We are worthy because Christ saved us.”
Others have had similar thoughts though not quite so eloquent::
Charles Haddon Spurgeon expressed a similar idea: “Jesus didn’t die for our righteousness but died for our sins. He didn’t come to save us because we were worth saving, but because we were utterly worthless, ruined, and undone.”
John Piper’s message emphasizes: “Christ died for us, not because we are worthy, but because we are unworthy, and there was no other way for us to be made worthy.”
The Bible reflects the sentiment in several places too:
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8)
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
“He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.” (Titus 3:5)

“He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.”
John 1:7
John the Baptist came as a forerunner to Jesus proclaiming the deity of Christ, when he saw Jesus he exclaimed,
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”
John 1:29
Jesus said:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12
We, like John the Baptist, are called to be witnesses for Jesus.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my WITNESSES in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to all the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
John 17:21
Jesus prayed for oneness and unity of the Spirit to give Jesus’ ministry power among potential converts.
Unity and Oneness in the USA is at an all time low over the past 100 years. (I have lived almost 82 of those years!)
• Mainline Churches Split over descension.
• Protestant churches look at fellow churches with a “jaundiced eye” over doctrinal interpretations.
• Catholic and Protestant Churches refrain from acknowledging each other as being co- heirs to the Kingdom.
Jesus’ final prayers were for “oneness”
And final instructions before ascending into the clouds were , “Be my witnesses!”
When we lose “oneness” and “unity of the Spirit”, we lose the power of our
“Witness!” Jesus says the world doesn’t believe our testimony!

“For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.”
Gal 5:17
Paul, the life coach of the New Testament, fought the battle of the
“flesh vs. the spirit” even after he experienced a dramatic conversion to become the leader of the early Church.
“For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.”
Rom 7:15
Paul described the battle this way:
“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. “
Rom 8:5
Now, you see why my signature close is

“A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.”
Luke 6:40
Paul tells us we are each a work in progress.
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Phil 1:6
And Paul gives us a pathway to navigate life to receive “training”.
“Do not be CONFORMED to this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWAL of your mind, that by TESTING you may DISCERN what is the will of God, what is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT.”
Rom 12:2
And that, my friends, sets us on the pathway to glorification when we are
“fully trained,” we will reflect the image of our teacher-our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Good morning as you reflect how much you are like your teacher

For additional scriptures, go to GotQuestions.org and search for: “What does the Bible say about integrity?” Also, “What does the Bible say about honesty?”
I have an analytical friend who claims to be “early” in his Spiritual Journey. He is an active seeker and by his words and deeds, I see him as being further along Christ’s path then he does.
Nevertheless, I did some on line research using A.I. and looked at Bible prophesy statistics to share with him. The following is abbreviated from my message to him.
I have left Live “links” throughout this message in case you wish to “drill down” further.
The Bible contains 1,817 prophecies145. This total includes 1,239 prophecies in the Old Testament and 578 prophecies in the New Testament1. These prophecies encompass 8,352 verses in the Bible1.
Regarding fulfillment, opinions vary:
Some sources claim that approximately 80% of total prophecies have been fulfilled3.
Others state that at least half of all biblical predictions have already been fulfilled precisely as declared4.
To calculate the mathematical odds of fulfilling the given numbers of prophecies, we’ll use the probability calculations provided in the search results. Peter Stoner’s work, which has been reviewed and found to be dependable by the American Scientific Affiliation, provides a basis for these calculations58.
For 2,000 prophecies fulfilled: The probability would be astronomically small, far beyond 1 in 10^157, which was calculated for just 48 prophecies5.
For half of all biblical predictions (approximately 908 prophecies): This would also result in an incredibly small probability, significantly smaller than 1 in 10^157.
To put this in perspective, in his book , Science in Perspective , Peter Stoner calculated that the probability of fulfilling just 8 prophecies is 1 in 10^17 (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000) 58. The probability of fulfilling 48 prophecies was calculated to be 1 in 10^1575.
Given these figures, the probability of fulfilling 789 or more prophecies would be so small that it’s effectively impossible to occur by chance. The number would have so many zeros after the decimal point that it would be challenging to express conventionally.
In more visual terms, the probability of fulfilling just 8 prophecies is likened to a blindfolded person finding a single marked silver dollar in a pile covering the entire state of Texas two feet deep8. The probability of fulfilling hundreds of prophecies would be exponentially more improbable than this already incredibly unlikely scenario. My faith remains firm!
Storing God’s word in our heart is much more entailing than memorizing scripture.
Storing the word generates a spiritual reaction such that instead of sinning( Hebrew for sin means ” missing the mark”), it compels us to ” hit the bullseye” by pleasing God.
Storing God’s word in our hearts turns defense into offense by the leading of the Holy Spirit!
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
