Change My Heart Oh God – Vineyard [With Lyrics] – Brian Bontes

Introduction

Stored in the heart is more than memorization—it is transformation. When God’s Word takes root in us, it equips us to withstand temptation and empowers us to live in obedience to Him. This truth reminds us that Scripture is not just knowledge but a living defense that strengthens us each day.

Main Body

Stored in the heart, God’s Word strengthens us to resist temptation. Let His Word dwell within and empower your daily walk.  The psalmist declared, “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you” (Psalm 119:11). Storing God’s Word involves more than remembering verses; it means allowing Scripture to penetrate our soul and shape our actions. When His Word dwells within us, it creates a spiritual response that guides us away from sin and toward righteousness.

The Hebrew word for “sin” means “missing the mark.” By contrast, when we store God’s Word, it trains our hearts to “hit the bullseye” by pleasing Him. This transforms our spiritual posture. Rather than being stuck on the defensive against temptation, we can live on the offensive, moving forward in faith as the Holy Spirit leads us.

The Apostle Paul assures us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” This promise reminds us that God’s Word supplies both strength and strategy for every trial.

Good morning as you build a championship defense in your heart, empowered by the Word of God and strengthened by His Spirit.
