The Love of Christ: Sacrificial, Eternal, and Life-Changing

The love of Christ is sacrificial, eternal, and life-changing.  His agape love transforms daily life and draws us into God’s family.  Love of Christ shines through every act of His life, death, and resurrection. Unlike our limited human love, His agape love is sacrificial and eternal, reaching out to us when we least deserved it. As Jesus taught in Matthew 5:43-45, His love extends even to enemies, showing us that God’s nature is both generous and inclusive. This devotion reminds us that the love of Christ is sacrificial, eternal, and life-changing, and it calls us to reflect His love daily.

How Firm is Your Foundation – Standing Strong in Christ

How Firm is Your Foundation? Discover the power of building your life on belief, confession, repentance, and baptism, rooted in Christ’s promises.  How Firm is Your Foundation is a question every believer must consider. Jesus reminded us, “But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand.” (Mark 13:23). The hymn How Firm a Foundation, written in 1787, beautifully echoes this truth: “What more can He say, than to you He hath said?” Our firm foundation is built on belief, confession, repentance, and baptism. This is how we stand strong in faith when the storms of life arise.

Nice Guys Do Not Finish Last – Godly Victory

Leo Durocher, the fiery manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers, famously said, “Nice guys finish last.” The implication was clear: to win, you must bend rules or harden your heart. Yet Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:5, “An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” God’s Word flips Durocher’s logic. According to Scripture, Nice Guys Do Not Finish Last—they are crowned with eternal victory.

Word of God: Food for the Soul

The Word of God is food for the soul. Jesus said we live not on bread alone but on the Word of God.  The Word of God strengthens faith.  What are you living on? Jesus said that man does not live on bread alone, but on every word from God. This powerful reminder invites us to feed on God’s Word, which is food for the soul and the source of true life.
