Introduction
Explore the question, What Will You Do to See Jesus, and discover how faith opens your heart to His presence. What Will You Do to See Jesus is a question that draws us into the heart of today’s message. Like Zacchaeus, many of us long to see Jesus more clearly in our lives. This devotion invites you to open your heart, step out in faith, and respond to His call with readiness and joy.
“And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way.”
Luke 19:2–4
Zacchaeus was despised by many because he was a tax collector. Yet Jesus greeted Zacchaeus—not the other way around.
“And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.’”
Luke 19:5
Jesus was criticized for associating with a sinner, but His mission was clear.
“And Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.’”
Luke 19:9–10
Jesus came to seek and save the lost—and that includes you and me.

Life Application
When Zacchaeus climbed the sycamore tree, he was determined to see Jesus. His persistence led to a personal encounter that changed his life forever. Likewise, Christ stands ready to meet anyone who sincerely seeks Him. As Revelation reminds us:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20
Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Jesus; we only need to open the door of our hearts. This simple act of faith transforms everything. Today, take a moment to pause, pray, and open that door wide.
