Staying Strong –  Finishing Strong

Let Us Pray

Lord, strengthen us when we feel weak and weary. Help us to persevere, keep the faith, and finish strong. Fill us with joy and peace through Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Introduction

Staying strong in our faith is the only way we can finish strong. When life wears us down, God renews our strength. Let’s fix our eyes on Him and never give up.

Keep Doing Good

Staying strong in faith helps us finish strong in life. Staying strong brings joy, peace, and eternal hope through the Holy Spirit. “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you can.” These famous words from John Wesley, founder of the Methodist movement, are still relevant today. They echo the heart of Paul’s message in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Spiritual Stamina Matters

It’s easy to feel discouraged. But that’s exactly when God calls us to press on. When we pour ourselves out for others in love and service, He pours into us. The strength to endure does not come from our own willpower—it flows from the Holy Spirit.

Overflow With Hope

Romans 15:13 reminds us, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” We are never alone. When our strength fades, His Spirit steps in to renew and refill us. As we continue our race, His joy gives us endurance.

Finish Strong

Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 are a victory cry for all believers: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” These are the words we want to declare at the end of our journey. And we can, if we commit each day to staying strong in Christ.

You Are a Spiritual Being

Yes, we are spiritual beings living a human experience. Our daily choices have eternal impact. That’s why we must keep exercising our spiritual muscles—through prayer, service, Scripture, and faithfulness. God promises a harvest if we do not give up.
