This verse expresses the Apostle Paul’s gratitude for God’s ultimate gift. The gift of Jesus Christ and the grace of salvation.

All angels were created by God (Hebrews 1:7). There are Holy angels and fallen angels (John 8:44; luke10:18).
We all focus on the extremely important role holy angels played in announcing Mary would be Jesus’s mother, and they announced Jesus’ birth.
However, that is only part of what angels do. Holy angels serve the people of God, deliver messages, wage spiritual battles, worship God, serve God, execute judgment, and aid in the transmission of God’s Word.
We can take comfort that holy angels are all around us and do things that protect us (Psalm 91:11).

Peace and goodwill to men begins with peace with God.
Paul established in Rom 5:1 the precedence;
“Therefore, since we have been JUSTIFIED BY FAITH , we have PEACE WITH GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
When we have established peace with God, we can then find peace with man.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:7
And Jesus gave us the greatest ” going away” gift of all;
“PEACE I leave with you; MY peace I give to you. ” John 14:27
Our Hevenly Father leaves us with peace , but most importantly He gives us peace as our love gift from him !
