John the Baptist came as a forerunner to Jesus proclaiming the deity of Christ, when he saw Jesus he exclaimed,
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”
John 1:29
Jesus said:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12
We, like John the Baptist, are called to be witnesses for Jesus.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my WITNESSES in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to all the ends of the earth.”
