Fully Trained Disciples Reflect Christ
A disciple is fully trained when he reflects Christ. Transformation and renewal shape us daily into the image of our Teacher, Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.” (Luke 6:40)
Paul echoes this when he reminds us, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6) We are works in progress, molded daily by the Spirit of God. This process is not instant but continual, guiding us toward maturity in Christ.
