“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
John 17:21
Jesus prayed for oneness and unity of the Spirit to give Jesus’ ministry power among potential converts.
Unity and Oneness in the USA is at an all time low over the past 100 years. (I have lived almost 82 of those years!)
• Mainline Churches Split over descension.
• Protestant churches look at fellow churches with a “jaundiced eye” over doctrinal interpretations.
• Catholic and Protestant Churches refrain from acknowledging each other as being co- heirs to the Kingdom.
Jesus’ final prayers were for “oneness”
And final instructions before ascending into the clouds were , “Be my witnesses!”
When we lose “oneness” and “unity of the Spirit”, we lose the power of our
“Witness!” Jesus says the world doesn’t believe our testimony!
Good morning as we pray to be one as Jesus and God the Father are one

Pro 23:7
My daily prayer requests always include a plea for the unification of all Christians. I would disagree that this separation is at an all time high. I would especially disagree that Catholics and Protestants fail to acknowledge each other. In my lifetime I have seen this gap close dramatically. As a youth it was forbidden as a Catholic to attend services at Protestant churches. Today it is absolutely normal to see members of all sects of the clergy cooperating on community projects with obvious respect and consideration.
Mike: Encouraged by your words. Hope you are universally right. Appreciate your insights. Bill
