Let Us Pray
Lord, help us to honor You from our youth through our old age. May our strength, joy, and trials all point back to You. Amen.

Introduction
Remember your Creator in your youth. Life brings change, but the Holy Spirit comforts us. Remember your Creator through every season of life. Remember your Creator is a powerful reminder from Scripture that calls us to honor God while we still have energy and strength. The verse encourages us to reflect on life’s fleeting nature and give God our best days—not just our last ones.
Remember Your Creator Through Every Season
“Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, ‘I have no pleasure in them.'” (Ecclesiastes 12:1)
Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, urges us to remember our Creator while we are still young. He’s not simply giving good advice; he’s offering a life principle. Youth is a season of vitality and opportunity. Yet all too often, it is wasted on pursuits that fade.
When we are young, life often feels light:
- Our health is steady
- Relationships are easier
- Bills are minimal
- Energy is high
However, real life eventually settles in. The “evil days” Solomon speaks of are not moments of sin but rather seasons of suffering, limitations, and loss.
As the years pass, many experience:
- Declining health
- Failed relationships
- Financial pressure
- Family heartaches
- The pain of grief
These trials test our faith and expose our character. They reveal whether we’ve built our life on shifting sand or solid rock.
But Jesus didn’t leave us to face life’s valleys alone. He promised us a Helper:
“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you.” (John 16:7)
The Holy Spirit—the Comforter—empowers us, strengthens us, and reminds us of God’s presence even in the darkest moments. When youthful joy fades and life gets hard, we still have the deep joy of knowing Christ lives within us.
So whether you’re on the mountaintop or in the valley, remember your Creator. He’s been with you all along—and He always will be.
“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7)

Life indeed is a roller coaster. In the last few days, I have two close friends that are on that roller coaster. One has breast cancer and another is going on dialysis. That’s all in the last three days. Every day is an irretrievable gift!
Amen Ted. I am so sorry to hear about your friends health issues. Bad things happen to good people. I shall pray for them …right now. Bill
He sent us the Comforter and the Advocate to help and guide us through our best and worst times. What a gift!
For sure the greatest gift ever given Sally. Given freely to us such that we may give it freely to others by passing along the gospel story of God’s love for us being so great that He gave us His only Son so that whoever believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life with Him in heaven. Bill
