Let Us Pray
Heavenly Father, we praise You with all that we are. Remind us daily of Your goodness and mercy. Help us reflect on Your blessings rather than our burdens. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Let Us Worship In Song
Introduction
Praise the Lord and never forget His goodness. Praise the Lord to recall His blessings and silence your complaints. Let your heart overflow today. Praise the Lord is more than a command—it’s a mindset that leads to transformation. When we choose to focus on God’s goodness, we stop complaining and start remembering His mercy. As Psalm 103 reminds us, praising God helps us recall the countless blessings He has already poured into our lives.
Praise the Lord With All You Are
“Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. The Lord redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things.” — Psalm 103:1–5 (NLT)
King David had every reason to grumble. He had been hunted, betrayed, and broken by sin. Yet, instead of fixating on hardships, he chose to praise. That choice transformed his heart. David made a list—not of complaints—but of God’s goodness:
- God forgave him—despite his many sins.
- God healed him—physically and spiritually.
- God redeemed him—from the grave and from guilt.
- God surrounded him—with love and mercy.
- God filled his life—with every good thing.
Count Your Blessings
When we actively praise the Lord, our hearts shift. Criticism fades. Complaints dissolve. Gratitude takes root. Furthermore, praise keeps us from spiritual amnesia. It anchors our minds in truth and joy. David’s example invites us to do the same today. Make your own list. Write it down. Be specific. Has He protected you? Healed you? Saved a child? Provided a job? Brought peace in grief?
As Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” What we meditate on becomes our reality. Therefore, when we choose praise, we live joyfully—no matter our circumstances.
So, grab a pen. You might need extra paper. God’s blessings are more than you recall. Start counting—and let your soul overflow with praise.
