Introduction
Find strength in the No Fear devotion, which reminds us that fear does not come from God. Embrace faith today. Fear is one of the most powerful forces that attempts to shape human behavior. It whispers doubt into our minds, tightens our chest with anxiety, and convinces us that tomorrow is too uncertain to trust. Fear may come from circumstances, diagnosis, loss, or the unknown—but Scripture is unwavering on one point: fear does not come from God.
In today’s devotion, No Fear, we are reminded that God has equipped His children with something far stronger than fear. Drawing from 2 Timothy 1:7 and reinforced through Jon Reddick’s worship anthem written during his own battle with cancer, this message calls believers to stand firm in God’s power, love, and peace—no matter what they face.

Scripture Focus
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)
Devotional Reflection
Fear often feels justified. Life presents genuine threats—illness, financial uncertainty, broken relationships, and spiritual opposition. Yet Paul’s words to Timothy were written during a season of intense persecution, hardship, and danger. Rather than validating fear, Paul redirected Timothy to the truth of what God has already given.
God gives power—divine strength that does not rely on human capability. This power enables us to endure suffering, resist temptation, and remain faithful when circumstances do not improve. God gives love—a steady, sacrificial love that drives out fear and anchors us in our identity as His children. And God gives self-control—a sound mind that steadies our thoughts when emotions threaten to overwhelm us.
Jon Reddick’s song No Fear brings these truths into sharp focus. Written while facing cancer, the song does not deny pain or hardship. Instead, it boldly proclaims that fear does not get the final word—God does. His presence is greater than the diagnosis. His promises are stronger than the uncertainty.
Scripture repeatedly affirms this reality. The psalmist declares, “I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4). Freedom from fear begins not with self-effort, but with seeking the Lord. Fear loses its grip when we place our trust in Him.
Paul reminds believers in Philippians 4:6 that anxiety loosens its hold when prayer takes its place. Fear thrives in isolation, but it weakens when brought into God’s presence with thanksgiving. And Jesus Himself assures us: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you… Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27).
Fear may knock at the door, but faith decides who enters. When God’s Word becomes the foundation of our thinking, fear no longer controls our steps. We move forward—not because life is predictable, but because God is faithful.
