Let Us Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. May it guide our hearts, shape our thoughts, and direct our steps each day. Amen.

Introduction
The Bible is God’s Word, the story of Jesus Christ. Discover why the Bible changes lives and leads us to eternal hope. The Bible is the most remarkable book ever written. It is more than a collection of pages—it is the living Word of God. The Bible is filled with wisdom, divine truth, and the story of God’s love. Through it, we discover who He is and who we are meant to become.
Main Body
This week I have been reflecting on the Bible. I own several, but my favorite is the large print one I gave to my grandmother, which later passed to my father and eventually back to me.
It is my favorite because as “MaMa Ta Ta and Brrr Fox” read it, they occasionally underlined or highlighted a verse or two that particularly touched them. These “connections of reflections” remind me of them and that faith is often passed down through family.
Scripture Truth
The Bible is unique. It contains 66 books, 1,189 chapters, written by 40 authors over 1,500 years, in three languages, on three continents, covering hundreds of subjects—with no historical errors or contradictions.
Only four chapters describe a world without sin: the first two and the last two. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells the story of Jesus Christ and His mission to save the world. Christian teacher Voddie Baucham once said: “The Bible is a reliable collection of historical documents, written by eyewitnesses, during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses, and they report supernatural events, that took place of specific prophecies, and claim that their writings are Divine, and not from mankind. And if that’s not enough, I tried it. And it changed my life.” It changed mine too.
I like to think of the acronym B.I.B.L.E. as Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Through prayer, we talk to God. Through the Bible, God talks to us. That makes it the most precious book we will ever read. Books give knowledge, but the Bible gives wisdom. The only thing we can take with us into heaven are our children, our grandchildren, and perhaps a few friends we shared the Gospel with. That is why John 3:16 remains the greatest key: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV) If you want to go deeper, I encourage you to visit GotQuestions.org: What does John 3:16 mean?
