Introduction

Have we changed since coming to Christ? The Bible teaches that true salvation always produces transformation. Over time, we will grow more like Jesus until we are with Him in heaven. This heart change produces fruit that glorifies God in all we do.

Main Body

Have we changed since being saved? True salvation transforms us to be more like Jesus. God calls us to bear fruit and glorify Him.The first question every believer should ask is, “Am I saved?” The second is, “Have I changed?” True salvation leads to an ongoing transformation into the image of Christ. God promised through the prophet Ezekiel, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26).

This transformation is not optional; it is the evidence of a living relationship with God. Paul wrote that we are to “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). This growth is gradual but continuous. As we abide in Christ, we will produce fruit that reflects His character.Jesus said, “My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples” (John 15:8). Fruitfulness is the proof of discipleship.

Fruit Inspector

God is, in a sense, a “fruit inspector.” He examines the quality of what we produce—whether it is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Only good fruit glorifies God. When we glorify Him, we acknowledge His greatness and live in ways that point others toward Him.

As Paul reminds us, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Our transformation should be so evident that it overflows into every part of our lives. We should want to be so full of Christ that, as the saying goes, if a mosquito bites us, it flies away singing, “There is power in the blood.” Let us live in such a way that every action, word, and thought honors our Savior.
