Let Us Pray
Lord, thank You for calling us to live boldly by Your Spirit. May we, like Caleb, walk in faith with a different spirit—one that honors You and trusts You completely. Amen.

Introduction
It’s ok to be different when your spirit is aligned with God. Caleb’s faith shows that being Spirit-led leads to God’s promises. It’s ok to be different, especially when your spirit reflects trust in God. Caleb stood out from the crowd because of his unwavering faith and spiritual confidence. He demonstrated that being different can lead to God’s greatest blessings.
Caleb’s Different Spirit
“But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.” (Numbers 14:24) Caleb had seen all the wonders God performed—from the Red Sea to the provision in the wilderness. Yet, unlike most Israelites, he did not let fear or grumbling take root. He was one of only two spies who encouraged the people to enter the Promised Land. Why? Because his spirit was different. It was led by God, full of faith and courage. Caleb’s mindset was not defined by the challenges ahead, but by confidence in the God who promised victory. The Hebrew interpretation of his “different spirit” suggests he was caught up in the Spirit of the Lord. He wasn’t just optimistic—he was spiritually aligned with God’s heart.
Sometimes, we fear being too “different” from those around us. But God isn’t looking for conformity. He’s looking for courage, trust, and obedience. Just as God knew Caleb’s spirit, He knows yours too. Being led by the Holy Spirit often sets you apart. And that’s a good thing! God rewarded Caleb not only with entry into the Promised Land, but with a legacy for his descendants. So this morning, get “caught up” in the Spirit. Remember—it’s ok to be different when you’re following fully after God.
