The Bible makes it very clear that if you are a true Christian, your body is a temple of God because the Holy Spirit dwells within you.
“Do you not know that your body is a TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, who is in you, who you have received from God” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
As the Holy Spirit resides in us, therefore, we are to honor God with our bodies as they “are not (our) own”. (1 Peter 1:18-19)
The true believer has been sanctified and forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7). The scripture also says that the believer is indwell spiritually by Christ (Colossians 1:27), and by God the Father (1 John 4:15) — the Trinty is involved.
