Palm Sunday shows how the crowd shouted Hosanna then Crucify Him. Jesus calls us personally to follow Him, not the crowd. Hosanna in the Highest — On what we now call Palm Sunday, crowds filled the streets waving branches and shouting: “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Mark 11:9-10). In Hebrew, “Hosanna” means “save us.” Their cries revealed a longing for deliverance, yet within days those same voices shifted to “Crucify him!” (Mark 15:12-13). This contrast warns us of the danger of following the crowd rather than standing firm in Christ.
