“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”
Col 4:6
“Gracious speech”is talking to someone with courteous, kind and respectful words to build up someone by encouraging them while tactfully speaking the truth.
“Seasoned with salt” allows our words to speak with clarity and power.
Paul spoke to this subject when he said;
“and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,”
1 Cor 2:4
Some of us think who talks the longest and the loudest wins the argument of the day! Totally false.
Paul says speak kindly and respectfully putting just enough emphasis for power and clarity to confidently communicate your point.
Good morning as we practice speaking with ” gracious speech” and with just a little “seasoning”
