“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. “

The Pharisees knew the scriptures and considered their religiosity on an intellectual basis and failed to connect with Jesus relationally.
Paul breaks this down for us:
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
Gal 2:20
The Apostle ,John declared;
“By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.”
1John 4:13
Eternal life is a result of Jesus living in us.
It is not knowing about Jesus but knowing Jesus.
