“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them.” — Genesis 1:27
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” — 1 John 3:1
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” — Matthew 28:6
“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.” — Romans 6:5
From the beginning, God created us in His image (Genesis 1:27), giving each of us inherent value and purpose. More than that, He calls us His beloved children (1 John 3:1). Even when sin separated us from Him, God’s love remained steadfast. In His mercy, He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. As Paul writes, “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). On the cross, Jesus paid the price for our redemption.
Easter morning brings the ultimate triumph—Jesus is alive! “He is not here; he has risen” (Matthew 28:6). His resurrection proves that death is not the end. Because He lives, we too shall rise. Scripture promises that if we are united with Christ in His death, we will also share in His resurrection (Romans 6:5).
This Easter, rejoice in these truths: We are made in God’s image, loved as His child, redeemed through Christ’s sacrifice, and promised eternal life through His resurrection.
Let this hope fill your heart as you celebrate the risen Savior today!
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your victory over sin and death. Help me live in the joy of Your resurrection and share Your love with others. Amen.
