CROSSING BARRIERS

“The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans)

John 4:9

There are four invisible barriers that separate the Samaritan woman from Jesus:

• a religious barrier,

• a gender barrier,

• a racial barrier,

• a moral barrier.

Yet, Jesus found a way to overcome all of them. He found her, and in turn, she found Him.

We have a tendency to minister to like and kind people. We now have a new barrier as 50% of Americans presently now place political party as a barrier to communication!

Question: How many barriers are you willing to cross?

Better yet, how dirty are you willing to get your hands in witnessing and serving?

“Every Christian is either a missionary or an impostor.”

Charles Spurgeon
