Ask God for Things to Serve People

“Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil.”

1 Kings 3:9

Solomon had replaced his father, David, as king.

Solomon expressed humility and inexperience and did not ask God for power or wealth.

Solomon asked for a mere understanding mind in order that he could have knowledge of what was best for his people.

In response,God gave Solomon not only discernment, but also made Solomon the wisest man in the world who would write the book of Ecclesiastes.

Ask God for the things to better serve God through serving people. God will bless us beyond measure!
