The Second Coming of Jesus brings judgment, resurrection, and eternity. When Jesus returns, are you ready? Discover what Scripture reveals and prepare today. The Second Coming of Jesus is mentioned more than 1,500 times in the Old Testament and in one out of every 25 verses in the New Testament.

Christ Will Return as King
Jesus came the first time as a humble servant. He will return as a victorious King. The Second coming of Jesus is not symbolic—it is literal, powerful, and world-changing. He will arrive in glory, seen by all, to establish the Kingdom of God on earth and execute divine justice.
“Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him.” — Revelation 1:7 (NIV)
This moment begins a series of prophetic events. Jesus will judge those still alive after the Great Tribulation, as described in Matthew 25:31–46. He will separate the faithful from the wicked—those who belong to Him will remain on the earth to enjoy peace and prosperity for 1,000 years.
The Thousand-Year Reign and Final Judgment
“They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” — Revelation 20:4 (NIV)
This millennial reign is a time when Satan is bound, righteousness reigns, and Jesus governs the world directly. It is the fulfillment of many Old Testament promises and prophecies of peace.
After the thousand years, Satan will be released briefly, leading to one final rebellion. But God will swiftly defeat him, casting him into the lake of fire forever. Then comes the Great White Throne judgment, where all the dead are resurrected and judged according to their deeds (Revelation 20:11–15). This is where eternity is declared.
Two Destinies: With God or Without
The Second Coming of Jesus also brings about two eternal destinies—one with God in the new heaven and new earth, and the other separated from Him forever. Evil is defeated, creation is restored, and God dwells with His people:
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…” — Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
These truths demand a response. Are you prepared? Have you placed your trust in Jesus Christ, the returning King?
