Born Eternal
Introduction
Explore the concept of Born Eternal and understand the immortal nature of the human soul and its relationship with God. Born Eternal reminds us that the human soul, once created, never ceases to exist. God made us to dwell with Him forever. As David declared, “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23:6). This truth brings comfort and urgency, for our eternal destiny depends upon our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Morning Prayer: Lord, thank You for creating me with an eternal soul. Help me to live today with heaven in view. May my choices honor You and prepare me for everlasting life in Your presence. Amen.
Without a doubt, the human soul is immortal. The soul is not subject to death. Once created, it will never cease to exist. Scripture confirms this truth: “The dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it” (Ecclesiastes 12:7). We were made to live beyond the limits of time.
Daniel wrote, “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2). The Bible’s teaching is unmistakable—every person will exist eternally, either in the joy of heaven or in the sorrow of separation from God.
Because of Christ’s sacrifice, we have the hope of dwelling forever with the Lord. This promise changes how we live today. If we belong to Him, we can look toward eternity with peace and confidence, knowing our final home is secure.
Therefore, praise God always! Each moment of obedience and worship becomes preparation for that eternal dwelling. Life on earth may fade, but our soul, born of God, endures forever.
Life Application
“For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:53)
We are created for eternity. The way we live now reflects what we believe about forever. Billy Graham once said, “The moment we take our last breath on earth, we take our first in heaven.” That reality calls us to live every day with faith and hope in Christ.
- ☑️ Reflect daily on your eternal destination and renew your faith in Christ.
- ☑️ Read one passage about eternal life (e.g., John 14:1–3 or Revelation 21:1–4).
- ☑️ Praise God for the promise of immortality through Jesus.
- ☑️ Encourage someone today with the assurance of heaven.
