Let Us Pray
Heavenly Father, let Your Spirit cut to our hearts today. Draw us closer to Jesus and fill us with Your truth. Amen.

Introduction
Cut to the Heart is the focus key phrase today. When God’s Spirit penetrates deeply, His word awakens change. Being cut to the heart leads us to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
Main Body
Cut to the Heart by the Spirit — this is where Peter’s sermon calls us to repent, believe, and receive forgiveness. Let God cut to your heart today.
“Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, ‘Brothers, what shall we do?’” (Acts 2:37)
At Pentecost, Peter preached boldly, and the Holy Spirit pierced the hearts of those listening. Their hearts responded deeply, not just intellectually. This divine conviction stirred them to ask the most important question anyone can ask: What shall we do?
Peter answered with clarity and power:
“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)
Here we discover the very heart of the gospel. Repentance means turning away from sin. Baptism shows a public declaration of faith in Christ. God gives forgiveness as a free gift. And the Holy Spirit fills every believer with new life.
Jesus foretold this moment when He said,
“You heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” (Acts 1:5)
His promise came true at Pentecost and continues to come true whenever God’s Spirit cuts open human hearts today. When the Spirit touches your heart, it calls for a decision. Ignoring Him keeps us unchanged, but surrendering brings healing, forgiveness, and a new beginning.
As Proverbs 23:7 reminds us, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
So, what’s in your heart today? Is the Spirit calling you closer to Him? If He is, respond while your heart remains tender—because transformation begins the moment you say yes.
